This project targets teenagers about to leave shelters because of reaching full adulthood. By completing 10 courses, which are for a maximum of 15 persons in the age of 15 – 18 years, within 1 year, the attendees gain experience and skills needed for their integration into a day-to-day life in civil society, which in normal and working families are taught in a natural way.
Today we know that stretching the institutionalization of the shelters' users just leads to postponing the actual moment of their entry into real life and doesn´t really solve their situation. Tilia works with clients long in advance, before they´re due to leave the shelters and boosts the chance that these children will not become clients of organisations looking after people without homes, or in the worst and more common cases clients of prisons.
